What to expect in 2026? I believe we are looking at a repeat of the fall of 2025. Slowly declining home prices, interest rates threatening to increase slightly by the banks themselves and a general sliding into a downward market. 2025 was the year of the balanced market but 2026 will no doubt be the year of the declining market. Its fine if you are buying and selling but not so good if your retirement funds are tied into your home. Nice if you are able to buy a house for the first time - no doubt about that.
